WATCH: Floods in Romania Kill At Least Four People as Rain Batters Central Europe

At least four people died and thousands of homes were damaged by flooding in eastern Romania on Saturday, officials said, as surging river levels put authorities on alert in much of central and eastern Europe following days of torrential rain. Tens of thousands of households were left without power in Romania and the Czech Republic, where more rainfall is forecast in the coming days. Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, southern Germany and parts of Austria are also expected to see more heavy rain. Residents of some towns along the Czech-Polish border were evacuated as rivers rose past alert levels while the Czech capital, Prague, which suffered catastrophic floods in 2002, put preventative anti-flood measures in place.

Here are scenes from the streets of Haikou City, Hainan, after the typhoon Yagi. You can see that many of the storefronts have been blown down to their frames, with no roof or doors in sight. The streets are littered with fallen trees, overturned cars, and scattered debris. Even huge trucks, weighing dozens of tons, were flipped over, and factories were left with only skeletal remains. Everywhere you look, it's a picture of devastation and destruction.

Xiangdi Xian was a Chinese company focused on chip research and development. Over four years, it burned through 2.5 billion yuan. Recently, the company announced its complete dissolution, leaving over 400 people suddenly unemployed. Over the past two years, nearly every industry in China has faced a downturn, not just one or two sectors. If you're an undergraduate majoring in integrated circuits or microelectronics, it’s better to go for further studies now. We’re in an industry winter, and finding a job is very difficult.

This video features Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te during a TV interview on September 1. Lai's sharp remarks directly targeted the CCP’s hypocrisy. His point is well-founded— The CCP claims Taiwan was taken by Japan during their so-called “century of humiliation”, implying the period between 1839 and 1949. However, it is also during this period that Russia seized over 1.5 million square kilometers of Chinese territory, roughly equivalent to 42 Taiwans. Despite the CCP's rhetoric about unifying the motherland and reclaiming lost lands, they have only dared to threaten the much smaller Taiwan island, never confronting Russia for the vast lands taken during the Qing Dynasty.

"Apple's strategy in India is not just about selling products; they also aim to make India a significant manufacturing hub to reduce reliance on China."

"Earlier, Bloomberg reported that in the fiscal year 2023, the value of iPhones assembled by Apple in India was estimated to be as high as $14 billion. This indicates the company's push for regional diversification and a quicker exit from China."

China's economy is in the dumps and people are giving up. And the CCP knows this is trouble.

People boycotted Atomic Heart for it's connections to the Russian state and the Ukraine War. Time to do the same for Black Myth Wukong and China. https://youtu.be/sJHy7l1K6i4

Industries across the board are in a severe recession. Physical stores and shopping centres are shutting down en masse, and many business owners are drowning in debt, constantly harassed by banks for payments. When they can’t repay their loans, these entrepreneurs are branded untrustworthy, becoming judgment defaulters. Once on this blacklist, they can’t take out loans, use public transportation, take planes, ride high-speed trains, or stay in hotels. Their business activities are severely restricted, leaving them with almost no way to move forward.
