Wedding, Songwriters Hall Of Fame Induction & More
Taylor Swift has a lot in store for 2026. In 2025, she released her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, got engaged to Travis Kelce, and finished the year with her docuseries Taylor Swift: The End of an Era on Disney+. However, that doesn’t mean she’s taking a break in 2026.
Luckily for Swifties, Taylor Swift doesn’t stay out of the spotlight for long. While she’s started the year pretty quietly, that’s only because she has a lot to plan. If you’re anxious about what Swift has up her sleeve in 2026, here’s a look at her plans for the year.
June 11, 2026: Songwriters Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony
On January 21, it was revealed that Taylor Swift had been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. 2026 marks the first year the singer is eligible for induction, so making it in now is a major feat. The ceremony is set to take place on June 11th, and it’s unlikely Swift would miss something so special.
As an artist who has always prioritized songwriting first, this is a true bucket list moment for her. It will certainly be one of the highlights of 2026 for her and her loyal Swifties. It hasn’t been revealed who will induct Swift, but many have suggested singer-songwriter Carol King.
She’s one of the artists Swift has been compared to throughout the years. Swift even performed King’s hit “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” for the artist when she was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. It would be a beautiful full-circle moment.
June 13, 2026: Taylor Ties The Knot With Travis
Two days after Swift gets inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, she is set to walk down the aisle in a Rhode Island ceremony to marry Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The ceremony will take place at Ocean House in Watch Hill, the same neighborhood where Swift owns her Holiday House.
It’s no surprise Swift picked 13 as it’s been her lucky number since she was a kid. It’s also quite predictable that she’d want to wed in a state she has loved so much since she purchased her home in 2013.
There have been rumors circulating that Swift and Kelce experienced a hiccup in their relationship, which led to them postponing their wedding planning for now. However, there’s been no confirmation of this. Recently, the couple’s mothers, Andrea Swift and Donna Kelce, were seen together at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, suggesting everything is great between the couple.
Still, there’s a risk the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony may overshadow Swift and Kelce’s wedding. However, there’s also a chance it will make the weekend even more eventful and exciting.
Will Swift’s Debut Feature Film Kick Off In 2026?
Taylor Swift announced she’d be writing and directing a feature film back in 2022. When she released her “All Too Well” short film in 2021, it was obvious she was serious about transitioning into filmmaking. Of course, this was all before she embarked on her Eras Tour, and she became the biggest superstar in the world.
Still, Swift promised she would be focusing on the film once the tour concluded. However, she didn’t anticipate she’d get engaged and have wedding planning as her number one priority. Swift hasn’t said much else about the film in the last few years; however, it’s possible that later in the year, it could become her priority again.
She already confirmed she doesn’t have plans to do a tour for The Life of a Showgirl, at least not anytime soon, so it would be a great time to switch focus to her film. Swift has left everyone in the dark in terms of the plot of the film and who could potentially star in it.
However, there have been plenty of theories that Swift could be expanding on stories she’s written about in songs. The top guesses have been “The Last Great American Dynasty” or the folklore love triangle.
Why Fans Think Another Taylor’s Version Is Coming
Taylor Swift announced at the end of May 2025 that she’d officially bought back all her music, putting an end to the Taylor’s Version era. However, she did mention in her letter to fans that she had completed the rerecording process on her debut album, and she would be happy to release it if it was something that fans are interested in.
October 24th, 2026, marks 20 years since Swift released her debut album, so it seems like a great time to release the rerecorded version. While fans can listen to the original guilt-free now, there are a ton of vault tracks that they can’t wait to hear.
A lot of Swift’s unreleased music from her early career has leaked online, and a lot of it she’s even played live back in her early teen years. Fans are especially anticipating a rerecording of “I’d Lie” and “Dark Blue Tennessee.”
There’s also speculation she could record “You’ll Always Find Your Way Back Home,” which she wrote for Hannah Montana: The Movie, and possibly even feature Miley Cyrus on the track. Since Taylor Swift likely won’t release another new album yet, this could be the perfect way to keep fans entertained in 2026.
