Watch This 97% Certified Fresh Comedy Now

Now is the perfect time to watch this celebrated comedy series starring Emmy nominee Kristen Bell before it leaves Netflix later this week.

Although this beloved feel-good series is not a Netflix original, it has been available to stream exclusively on Netflix for the past several years. However, that streak will end on Thursday, September 25, 2025, as the 12-time Emmy-nominated comedy show will head to another popular streaming platform.

All 4 Seasons Of The Good Place Are Leaving Netflix This Week

All 4 seasons of the celebrated series The Good Place are leaving Netflix on September 25, 2025, in the United States. This week is officially your last chance to binge-watch all 50 episodes on Netflix before it’s gone for good.

The Good Place was released back in 2016 and received a near-perfect Certified Fresh Rotten Tomatoes score of 97% across all of its seasons. This includes two perfect 100% ratings for seasons 2 and 4. The series also earned an impressive RT audience score of 90%, making it mostly universally liked between critics and at-home viewers.

The Good Place was nominated for 12 Emmys during its four-season run. It stars Ted Danson (A Man on the Inside) and Kristen Bell (Nobody Wants This) and originally aired on NBC. It’s a high-concept comedy show and feel-good romance series rooted in supernatural fantasy.

The Good Place was created by Michael Schur, best known for his work on The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Hacks. It features an ensemble cast alongside Bell and Danson, including William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, D’Arcy Carden, Maya Rudolph, and Adam Scott.

Bell plays Eleanor Shellstrop, a morally ambiguous woman who finds herself in an idyllic afterlife upon her death. Eleanor realizes that she has been mistaken for somebody else and tries to cover up her past to stay in the heaven-like paradise. Danson plays Michael, who is the architect of the so-called “Good Place.”

While The Good Place is leaving Netflix by the end of this week, it will become available on another streaming platform: Amazon Prime Video. If you are a subscriber to both streaming services, then you have nothing to worry about. If you don’t have a Netflix subscription but do have a Prime Video one, then you’re in luck.

The Good Place is leaving Netflix due to the expiration of the licensing agreement between NBCUniversal, which owns the series, and Netflix. Clearly, NBCUniversal has struck another deal with Amazon Prime Video so that it will become the new streaming home of The Good Place.

Interestingly, The Good Place is not available on NBCUniversal’s own streaming platform, Peacock. No matter where you watch, The Good Place is a fantastic and unique feel-good show to binge-watch this week that also tackles bigger concepts of morality and death while keeping the punchlines coming.
