Don’t forget to catch up on what you may have missed on Netflix during the week as well. Without further ado, here are Screen Rant’s top 3 picks to binge-watch on Netflix this weekend to kick October 2025 off right.
Dudes
Dudes is a brand new comedy series that just dropped on Netflix. It’s based on the popular Spanish series Alpha Males, which was released in 2022 and currently has three seasons under its belt with a fourth one on the way. Alpha Males is also streaming on Netflix, if you’d rather stream the acclaimed original series instead.
As its title suggests, Dudes follows four middle-aged men who find it difficult to fit into and understand the modern world. The series is set in Germany, so the series is mostly in German with English subtitles. It’s perfect for viewers who are in a similar position as the four close-knit protagonists, who try (and fail) to adjust to the evolving state of masculinity.
While Dudes is more or less a remake of a current Netflix show, the franchise is given a fresh perspective through a European lens. Alpha Males received a Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 84%, so if Dudes isn’t landing all of its punches for you during its 8-episode first season, then give Alpha Males a try since it is already established as one of the best comedy shows on Netflix.
Monster: The Ed Gein Story
The wait is finally over – Monster season 3 has arrived on Netflix. The latest installment in the chilling Emmy-winning horror anthology series focuses on the infamous serial killer Ed Gein, best known for being the partial inspiration for Norman Bates, one of the most iconic movie villains of all time, first seen in Alfred Hitchcock’s groundbreaking classic Psycho.
Charlie Hunnam of Sons of Anarchy and Pacific Rim acclaim stars as the evil protagonist, who became notorious for murdering and skinning his victims. The series begins on a remote Wisconsin farm where Ed Gein lived with his twisted, domineering mother, a key real-life quality that heavily inspired Hitchcock’s Norman Bates.
Monster has historically been a massive streaming hit for Netflix in previous seasons, which has placed a spotlight on Jeffrey Dahmer and the Menendez Brothers. Monster: The Ed Gein Story may be the most unsettling installment yet and will absolutely be the most-talked-about new Netflix series this weekend.
If you can stomach the body horror and are looking for the perfect series to kick off spooky season in a timely manner, then you’ll have a hard time finding a better streaming option on Netflix this weekend than Monster: The Ed Gein Story.
Feel Good
If you loved last week’s breakout streaming hit Wayward, then you should absolutely watch the Netflix dramedy series Feel Good, which earned a rare 100% Rotten Tomatoes score for its first two seasons.
Feel Good stars and is co-created by Mae Martin, who also stars in and created Wayward for Netflix. Martin played a local police officer in Tall Pine, Vermont, named Alex Dempsey in Wayward, who was caught in the middle of the strange small-town dynamic, led by Toni Collette’s cult-like academy leader, Evelyn Wade.
While Feel Good is very tonally different than Wayward, it still tackles similar subject matter, such as queer romance and drug addiction. Feel Good is actually a semi-autobiographical portrait of Martin’s personal battle with addiction and drug use, making it a much more personal and raw story that is full of heart, tragedy, and resilience.
In fact, if you found Wayward to be too offbeat and “out there”, then Feel Good may be the perfect way to reintroduce yourself to Martin’s body of work. The entire series is short, consisting of 12 episodes all under 30 minutes, and also features a great performance by Lisa Kudrow of Friends.
Ironically, Feel Good is not always a feel-good show, but it is an incredibly rewarding watch that does possess enough laughs to warrant it as a dramedy series. If you’re looking for a guaranteed great series to dive into this weekend and aren’t quite ready for the month of horror to begin, Feel Good is one of your best options on Netflix.
