The Terminal List: Dark Wolf
This 2025 Amazon Prime Video series is one of the best new action thriller shows of the summer that nobody seems to be talking about. After becoming one of the most-viewed series in the world following its late August 2025 release, it has cemented itself as one of the best Prime Video shows to binge-watch over a weekend.
Prime Video has been on a hot streak with new original action thrillers this year, releasing great shows such as Ballard, Butterfly, Countdown, and more. With this latest action thriller release, Prime Video continues to establish itself as not only a great platform for familiar favorites and franchises like Reacher and Bosch but also a defining force in the thriller genre.
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf Is Prime Video’s Best New Action Thriller
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is available to stream in full for the first time ever on Amazon Prime Video. After releasing with a three-episode premiere back in August, the season 1 finale of The Terminal List: Dark Wolf hit the streaming platform roughly a week ago, making now the perfect time to dive into the series.
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf features a stellar cast led by Taylor Kitsch and Chris Pratt, who are both executive producers on the series as well. The series serves as a prequel to 2022’s The Terminal List, one of Amazon’s most-watched streaming series of all time, and follows Kitsch’s Ben Edwards from his time as a Navy SEAL to becoming a CIA field agent.
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is currently at the top of Prime Video’s streaming charts in the United States, ranking ahead of The Summer I Turned Pretty and Hotel Costiera. It is arguably the best new action thriller series on Amazon Prime Video of 2025, and could give some of the biggest flagship titles, like Reacher and The Boys, a run for their money.
Not Enough People Are Talking About The Terminal List: Dark Wolf
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is certainly enjoying its current viewership success on Prime Video, but it still feels like it’s not being talked about enough. This may have to do with the mixed reviews of the original series, which only earned a Rotten Tomatoes score of 41%, and the fact that it’s a prequel. In order to watch Dark Wolf, you’ll have to be up-to-date on The Terminal List.
Consider this, however, your sign to dive into the best action thriller series on Prime Video this week, especially if you consider yourself to be a massive fan of the genre. While The Terminal List got pretty dark, tragic, and heavy, Dark Wolf is much more of a traditional globe-trotting action thriller, in the same vein as the fantastic Mission: Impossible movies. If you haven’t tuned into The Terminal List: Dark Wolf by now, you are surely missing out on one of Prime Video’s all-time great series.
