Doc season 2 has confirmed Scott Wolf’s shock return as Dr. Richard Miller.

Per Variety, Wolf will return for a multi-episode guest arc after his character’s season 1 firing. Having appeared in all 10 episodes of the first season, Miller was fired in the finale, but Wolf’s character will be back in a reduced role for season 2, as well as directing an episode in 2026. Co-showrunners and executive producers Barbie Kligman and Hank Steinberg wrote about Wolf’s return in the following statement:

We always knew when Richard got fired that would never be the last of him. But no one expected him to come back to Westside like this — least of all Amy.
