Resurrection Season 1 is Perfect to Binge-Watch on Paramount+

The best new crime thriller on television, Dexter: Resurrection, recently finished its debut season, and you can finally watch it all on streaming. There have been a lot of great crime thriller shows in recent years. From Snowfall to Mindhunter, the genre is filled with some truly spectacular shows. Now, the Dexter franchise has added another great entry to that genre.

One of the best features of crime thrillers is how thrilling they are. When a show has a good mystery, good pacing, and effective storytelling, binge-watching an entire season just to get answers is extremely easy. Luckily, Dexter: Resurrection has all those features, and since its first season recently ended, you can binge-watch it all right now.

All Episodes Of Dexter: Resurrection Season 1 Are Now Streaming On Paramount+

Since the ending of Dexter: Resurrection season 1 was released on September 5, the entire first season is now available to stream. Resurrection season 1 has 10 episodes in total, and they’re all available on Paramount+ with Showtime. While that does require having the Paramount+ Premium plan, as opposed to the cheaper Paramount+ Essential plan, Resurrection is worth it.

Dexter: Resurrection is also a perfect show for binge-watching. Every episode in the first season maintains a breakneck momentum and a delightful premise. Dexter Morgan, a vigilante serial killer, is introduced to Resurrection‘s new serial killers before picking them off one by one. He also has to dodge one of the only people who know he’s a serial killer, his longtime friend Angel Batista.

Resurrection uses those fairly simple premises to craft a truly suspenseful first season. I watched it live, and it was excruciating waiting week to week to find out what happened next. Binge-watching Resurrection, however, should make for a brilliant viewing experience and keep you on the edge of your seat for hours.

Dexter: Resurrection Deserves Another Season

The only bad part about Dexter: Resurrection is that it’s over, for now. There’s currently no official word on Resurrection season 2, though Paramount is reportedly looking to hire writers. Dexter is also in an uncertain position, as Original Sin season 2 was canceled after it had been officially confirmed. That being said, Resurrection deserves another season.

The ending of Dexter: Resurrection season 1, for starters, left so many plot threads open-ended. Resurrection season 2 could hit the ground running by looking into some of the things season 1 couldn’t fully wrap up. It already has the New York Ripper to investigate, Dexter’s first victim of Resurrection season 2 lined up, and so much more.

Paramount truly has something special with Dexter: Resurrection. It’s one of the platform’s best crime thrillers in years, and a remarkably great return to form for the Dexter franchise. If Resurrection season 2 doesn’t happen, thriller fans will be missing out on one of the best new shows in recent memory. Simply put, Dexter: Resurrection needs another season.
