Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Cool Sith Robes in LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy
An upcoming Star Wars project will surprisingly reimagine Obi-Wan Kenobi as a Sith Lord. While fascinatingly bizarre, what’s even more remarkable is that this evil version of the iconic Jedi master will be wearing some of the coolest Sith robes I’ve ever seen.
It’s a fact: Sith Lords often look a lot cooler than Jedi Knights. After all, they’re the ones who get the masks, helmets, capes, and impressive armor meant to intimidate their foes. As such, I’m quite impressed by Obi-Wan Kenobi’s new Sith look in a preview for the upcoming miniseries LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, Dark Lord of the Sith?
In a brand-new clip for Rebuild the Galaxy’s next chapter, Obi-Wan appears to have fallen to the dark side in this remixed and brick-built galaxy.
Voiced by The Clone Wars‘ James Arnold Taylor, it’s surprising to see the Jedi Master as an outright villain, shown threatening the Greebling brothers, a BrickHeadz version of Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein), and even the “deep cut” Lepi smuggler Jaxxon (Ben Schwartz):
As remarkable as it is to see Darth Revan in a 2025 Star Wars project, I was also excited to see Obi-Wan’s new Sith robes.
Wearing a black tunic mirroring his traditional tan Jedi robes in the official canon, this evil Kenobi also has some red at the collar underneath, resulting in a simple yet very cool look for a Dark Lord of the Sith (and it works quite well).
While he doesn’t have the classic yellow Sith eyes, “Darth Kenobi” does have some added darkness around his eyes, which does help him look more evil as a bonus to his new Sith Lord attire and red-bladed lightsaber.
Star Wars’ New Rebuild The Galaxy Is Going To Be SO Much Fun
The first season of Rebuild the Galaxy was fun for both LEGO and Star Wars fans alike, depicting a fascinating “What If…?” version of the Star Wars galaxy. It was unlike anything we’ve ever seen before from the franchise, with no pressure to adhere to the official canon.
Now, the trailers and promos for Pieces of the Past have proven that the new season will be doubling down with even more crazy twists and remixes, and Darth Kenobi and Revan dueling a BrickHeadz Ahsoka being just the tip of the iceberg.
To name just a few additional remixed characters for the new season, we’re also getting the Lando-Lorian voiced by Billy Dee Williams, Pirate Queen Amidala (Catherine Taber), and even the return of Ahmed Best as Darth Jar Jar (this time with robotic spider legs like Darth Maul’s).
Combined with returning characters from the first season like Beach Bum Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), and a white armored Jedi Vader, it’s going to be very fun to see where this upside-down, brick-built, and remixed version of the Star Wars galaxy goes next.
LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past releases September 19th on Disney+.
