An original Harry Potter star who first appeared in the movies will be returning for the HBO series as production on the TV show continues. The cast of Harry Potter has grown during filming, with everyone from John Lithgow’s Dumbledore to the members of the Weasley family being confirmed. However, no actors from the movies were set to return.
Now, HBO has confirmed that Warwick Davis will be returning as Professor Filius Flitwick in the Harry Potter TV series. Davis first debuted as the Professor of Charms in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, appearing as the character in six of the eight movies in total. He’s also the only movie actor reprising their role in the show.
In addition, seven more cast members for the show have been revealed. Joining the cast alongside Davis are Elijah Oshin as Dean Thomas, Finn Stephens as Vincent Crabbe, William Nash as Gregory Goyle, Sirine Saba as Professor Pomona Sprout, Richard Durden as Professor Cuthbert Binns, Bríd Brennan as Madam Poppy Pomfrey, and Leigh Gill as Griphook.
