Den of Thieves 3 looks like it’s still a ways away from production getting going, meaning the release date is even further away. The crime franchise starring Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr. has become a fan favorite. A third Den of Thieves movie was quickly announced following Den of Thieves 2: Pantera releasing earlier in 2025.
The first Den of Thieves follows Butler’s Nick, a tough-nosed cop, as he attempts to track down a notorious crew of bank robbers, of which Jackson’s Donnie Wilson is a part of. Den of Thieves 2 goes international after Donnie (Jackson Jr.) got away from Nick in the first movie. Nick eventually tracks him down, but instead of bringing him in, Nick joins Donnie’s latest heist. We spoil the Den of Thieves 2: Pantera ending, but it certainly offers some interesting places for the sequel to go.
Jackson Jr., recently shared a post on Instagram that gives an update on the timing of Den of Thieves 3. The star wrote, “9 months down. Give me another 9 and it’s GG. Let’s call it another 6 months. D3N of THI3V3S. Den 3 comin.“ All that likely means that production on Den of Thieves 3 is likely at least six months away, which would be March or April 2026.
More to come…
