Game Of Thrones Characters To Appear In A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms Spinoff

This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.

Game of Thrones fans can expect to see some familiar faces when A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms premieres in January 2026. The huge success of Game of Thrones ensured that HBO would create a franchise with multiple spinoffs, especially since A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin has written other books set in Westeros.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is the second Game of Thrones spinoff, following House of the Dragon, and is a prequel that takes place almost a century before the events of the main series, with Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell in the two lead roles as Ser Duncan the Tall and Egg, respectively.

In interviews with ScreenRant‘s Liam Crowley, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms co-creator Ira Parker exclusively revealed that some Game of Thrones characters will appear in the upcoming spinoff.

Parker alluded to an appearance by none other than Master Aemon, since he is alive during the time period that the spinoff is set, and added that there will likely be other names and faces that will be seen and heard on A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

This first one, I think you’re gonna hear some names. I’m sure you’re gonna see faces. Yes, there are plans for faces as we move forward, hopefully.

Along with some familiar names on A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, there will also be a famous family appearing on the show: House Targaryen. The dragons may have died a half-century before the spinoff (in a post-House of the Dragon timeline), but the Targaryens still have a major presence.

According to Parker, when A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms begins, House Targaryen will show up to a tournament in a location they’ve never been to before and “would have no reason to go to” without their dragons. As a result, people in Westeros start questioning why the Targaryens are “still in charge.

House Targaryen is coming into this show, showing up at this tournament in this backwater of Ashford, where they’ve never been before and would have no reason to go to but because they don’t have dragons anymore, and because it’s been a little while, all of a sudden, I think people are starting to question in this time, why the Targaryens are still in charge.

More to come…
