The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has revealed a first look at season 4 of the zombie spinoff, teasing what’s to come during the final stretch of the show. Daryl Dixon season 3 brought Daryl and Carol to Spain, where they’ve been trying to help a new community, Solaz del Mar, while trying to get back home to America.
Earlier this year, Daryl Dixon season 4 was confirmed to be the final batch of episodes for the show. Filming began in Spain earlier this year as well, with the upcoming season to contain eight episodes in total. While not much is known about the story, it’s expected to be a direct continuation from the El Alcázar storyline from season 3.
Now, AMC has released an official first look at Daryl Dixon season 4 at New York Comic Con. In the video, actors Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride, alongside one of McBride’s stunt doubles, tease how exciting the final season will be. While it’s unclear which characters from Daryl Dixonseason 3 will be returning, the new video offers some hints as to what season 4 will be featuring. This includes Daryl and Carol in a number of outdoor locations, Daryl brandishing a shotgun slung over his shoulder, and a graveyard, seemingly as a significant location for the episodes.
As of writing, season 3 still has two episodes left. The storyline involving the pair and their fight against El Alcázar is still ongoing, with no confirmation of whether it will be resolved before season 4 begins. They’re teasing the final season will be even better as well, a bold claim considering Daryl Dixon season 3’s stellar reviews.

Although it’s unclear how the final season will play out, Daryl and Carol’s adventure across Spain will likely end with the pair finally finding a way home. However, it’ll require them to finish their mission with Solaz del Mar, ensuring the friends they’ve made along the way are protected. This may be a big task depending on El Alcázar’s power.
