This 29-year-old classic comedy series is currently surging up global streaming charts on Paramount+ despite not releasing a new episode since 2003.

At the time of writing, this coming-of-age sitcom with elements of dark fantasy is the seventh most viewed TV series on Paramount+. Its recent viewership numbers have outperformed some of Paramount’s most celebrated TV franchises, including Dexter and MobLand, according to FlixPatrol.

Sabrina The Teenage Witch Is Surging On Paramount+ After Leaving Hulu

The classic sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch, starring Melissa Joan Hart, is surprisingly one of the most-viewed series on Paramount+. This comes just months after Hulu lost its streaming license for the beloved series, making Paramount+ one of the few places where you can watch the classic sitcom as part of a streaming subscription.

However, only the first three seasons of Sabrina the Teenage Witch are currently available to stream on Paramount+ – the latter four seasons are only available to purchase. This is not to be confused with the more recent Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, in which Kiernan Shipka played the titular protagonist, Sabrina Spellman.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch premiered way back in 1996, running for 163 episodes across seven seasons before concluding in 2003. The surge in recent viewership could certainly have to do with the rise in “spooky season” streaming options, providing an autumnal Halloween vibe while still being a nostalgic feel-good show at its core.

Since Paramount+ only has the first three seasons of Sabrina the Teenage Witch available to stream, the only way to watch the entire series from start to finish at this time is to purchase seasons 4–7. Because the series has bounced around between streaming platforms this year, it may be worth it for the biggest fans of Sabrina to purchase all 163 episodes.

Purchasing the entire series is the only way to ensure you can watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch whenever you want. After the Halloween 2025 season ends, there’s a solid possibility that the entire series will become available to stream again at some point in the future. Where and when that will happen is currently unclear.

Earlier this year, all seven seasons of Sabrina the Teenage Witch were streaming on Hulu. Now that the licensing has switched over to Paramount+, the ball is in their court in terms of what is available to stream and what is only available to purchase. Since the series aired on ABC and is owned by Disney, there’s a fair chance that Sabrina the Teenage Witch will wind up back on Hulu for those who would rather not pay.
