NBC confirmed Sunday, September 28, that the hip-hop legend will join the 2026 games in Milan and Cortina, Italy, as an on-air correspondent, promising Olympic coverage with serious West Coast flair. From gold medals to icy beats, expect Snoop to bring his signature humor and style to the February spectacle.
Also headed across the pond is Tame Impala, who announced a new European tour that’ll kick off in April of next year. Unfortunately, not everyone in music is traveling; Dolly Parton said she’ll have to postpone her Las Vegas residency in December to undergo some medical procedures.
Cardi B‘s new album, Am I The Drama, is having tremendous chart success as well, and there’s been an announcement about the next Super Bowl halftime show. There’s also a popular singer who collapsed onstage and addressed her fans soon afterward.
Lola Young Collapsed
English singer Lola Young canceled her performance at the All Things Go Music Festivalin Washington D.C., one day after collapsing on stage at the New York leg of the festival at Forest Hills Stadium.
“I’m sorry to confirm that I won’t be playing all things go in DC today,” she wrote to her 1 million Instagram followers. “I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted, so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this. I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future. Thank you to all those who listen and care.”
The 24-year-old was carried offstage after the scary New York incident, and singer Remi Wolf, as well TDE rapper Doechii, shouted her out during their set.
Bad Bunny Will Play The Super Bowl Halftime Show
NBC announced yesterday that Bad Bunny will be playing the halftime show at the next Super Bowl, which will take place in Santa Clara, California’s Levi’s Stadium on February 8. The Debí Tirar Más Fotos creator expressed gratitude and thanked those who helped pave the way for the performance.
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” said Bunny in a statement. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”
The news comes shortly after Bunny said he wouldn’t be bringing his No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí shows to the United States over fear that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would take Latinos into custody—something those opposed to Bunny playing the halftime show brought up on social media.
Bunny also played the Super Bowl in 2020 when he joined Jennifer Lopez and Shakira during their joint set.
Cardi B’s Am I The Drama Is Number 1?
The seven-year gap between Cardi B’s 2018 album Invasion of Privacy and her new LP Am I the Drama hasn’t hurt her popularity or sales, because the new release reached the top spot on Billboard’s 200 chart.
Am I the Drama reportedly had 200,000 equivalent album sales, making it the biggest opening week for a female-created R&B/hip-hop album. Cardi addressed the LP’s success in an Instagram story by thanking those who listened and helped put it together.
“Thank you sooo much everybody that supported my album!!” she wrote. “Two weeks ago the album was projected to do 115k off of Outside and Imaginary Players”
“I didn’t know what the outcome was gonna be I didn’t put out a album in 7 years and haven’t put out as much music in the last year but we just surpassed all that expectation… Thank you to everyone who gave the album a listen, did a video to the songs and everything!,” Cardi continued.
