Ariana Grande’s “See You Next Year” Tease Already Has Fans Breaking The Internet

Despite being a recent award show snub, the career (and music) of Ariana Grande has been on a steady pace as of late. In addition to her star turn in the movie Wicked, the singer also put out her last album, Eternal Sunshine, in 2024 (along with a 2025 deluxe edition), joining a strong stable of female pop star releases.

Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead LP may have dropped back in April, but it appears that the artist isn’t done with fleshing out that era just yet. At least, as far as her latest mysterious social media post earlier today is concerned, which emerged with a significant message saying “see you next year.”

What Ariana Grande’s “See You Next Year” Tease Could Mean

Ariana Grande stands at a ballet beam. She wears a black top, that has white straps that cross in the middle. The background is blurry: two dancers are visible over her shoulder.

Grande put up a video on her Instagram (in a joint post with her Brighter Days IG) echoing the sci-fi motif she used in a short film that was put out alongside the deluxe album. In it, a screen is shown with the words, “a corrupt file has been found and corrected,” with Grande’s shaking hand attempting to touch it.

The video then transitions to text stating, “see you next year, announcement loading.” The immediate meaning behind the phrase is unknown at this time, though it’s quite likely that it could be hinting at Grande embarking on a tour of live shows to back Eternal Sunshine once 2026 rolls around. The possibility already has Grande fans excitedly buzzing.

Fan Theories Are Already Taking Over The Internet

With Ariana Grande’s dance card very well-stocked as of late (especially when it comes to acting roles like Wicked), the singer has previously already stated publicly that singing was still a priority for her, and she has no plans to abandon it. This announcement of a potentially likely tour already has her fans theorizing about live setlists they might see.

The tease would be a major move for Grande, who hasn’t extensively played in concert since her Sweetener World Tour officially wrapped up way back in 2019. It would be deserving support for Eternal Sunshine, which spawned two number one hits (“Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)”) and topped the Billboard 200 for three weeks.

And while it may not be a lengthy tour (with Grande previously saying she planned to sing “even if it’s just for a little”), there’s no doubt that her supporters will be lining up for when that announcement drops. Especially after being able to see her on the big screen for Wicked: For Good when it comes out this November.
