The sequel to A Minecraft Movie now has a release date. The original movie, which adapts the popular video game of the same name, debuted on April 4 and is currently the third highest-grossing movie of 2025 worldwide. The upcoming A Minecraft Movie 2 was announced to be in early development on April 11, though no further news arrived for some time.
The official X account for A Minecraft Movie has confirmed that the sequelwill debut in theaters on July 23, 2027. Theit post, which includes a reference to the video game by describing the work on the sequel as “building terrain,” also features a teaser poster showcasing two Minecraft-style pickaxes.
