Apple TV+ Delays Release Of Politically-Charged Thriller The Savant

Apple TV+ has delayed the release of its upcoming politically-charged thriller The Savant.

Per Variety, the decision to delay the release of the Jessica Chastain vehicle comes in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The series focuses on an investigator working to infiltrate online hate groups in a bid to prevent domestic extremism, and the subject matter is politically charged in the wake of the political speaker’s murder.

Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel was also recently suspended for comments surrounding the incident, and now Apple has made the decision to pull its planned release of September 26 for The Savant.
