Lil Nas X Describes His Arrest As ‘Terrifying’

The past seven days have been pretty eventful for Lil Nas X, to say the least. He’s been hospitalized, jailed, attended court, and hit with multiple felony charges. He was seen strolling down Ventura boulevard in Studio City, California on Thursday, August 21, around 4:00 a.m. wearing nothing but briefs and cowboy boots before stripping naked.

Nas X broke his silence on the incident earlier this week and admitted that it was harrowing. He’s accused of punching a member of the Los Angeles Police Department in the face twice and resisting arrest. The “Old Town Road” rapper appeared in a Van Nuys courtroom on Monday, and pleaded not guilty.

He’s been charged with three felony counts of battery with injury against a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer. His bail was set at $75,000, and he has to either attend four Narcotics Anonymous meetings each week or receive outpatient treatment.

Lil Nas X Addressed His Fans On Video

The 26-year-old spoke about the naked ordeal Monday on Instagram Stories, telling his over 10 million followers that he’d be fine. “Your girl is going to be OK, y’all. She’s going to be alright,” said Nas X. “That was f—ing terrifying. That was a terrifying last four days, but your girl is going to be alright.”

His father, Robert Stafford, spoke to reporters about his son earlier this week, denying that he’s on drugs, while saying he’s doing fine mentally. “He’s great. God is good, God has a plan … He’s in good spirits,”

Stafford explained. “He’s very remorseful for what happened, but you know, it can happen to any family. He’s going to get the help that he needs, and just keep him in your prayers.”

Nas X was released from the Van Nuys jail on Monday after paying the $75,000, and his court date is set for September 15. He could spend five years in prison if found guilty on all charges.
