Lola Tung Stars In Royel Otis’ Who’s Your Boyfriend Music Video

The main actor in one of the biggest shows of the summer found herself at the center of a love triangle again in a recent music video. There may not have been a standout song of the summer this year, but there have still been plenty of hits making everyone’s summer playlist.

A lot of music this year has gone hand in hand with some of the TV shows and films making waves with fans. Taylor Swift is always a popular choice, especially as she prepares to release The Life Of A Showgirl. However, this TV star found a starring role in the music video for a lesser-known artist.

Lola Tung Starred In Royel Otis’ “Who’s Your Boyfriend”

Australian pop duo Royel Otis released “Who’s Your Boyfriend” as the sixth track on their 2025 album, Hickey. On August 22nd, they released the song’s music video starring The Summer I Turned Pretty star Lola Tung. Tung plays the lead character, Bella Conklin, in the Amazon Prime series, and finds herself in a love triangle between brothers Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher.

She’s spent her past few summers going back and forth between the two brothers, but in TSITP season 3, she’s set on marrying Jeremiah. The Royel Otis video relies on Tung’s expertise with love triangles, once again making her the desire of two men.

The song’s lyrics tell the story of a girl in a relationship who is constantly sending mixed signals to another guy. The video pairs well with this message as Tung relentlessly flirts with a bartender, only to later greet her boyfriend when he shows up at the bar.

The video mirrors the current season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, as Belly is engaged to Jeremiah but has had countless flirty moments with Conrad. One of the most intense was when she nearly kissed him in episode 6.

From staring at the bartender from across the room to flirtatiously asking him to play a game of pool, it’s obvious why he would think Tung’s character was into him. The 22-year-old actress does an excellent job playing the desirable woman caught between two men yet again.

Tung Was The Perfect Star For The Video

Tung was perfect for the video because of how well she’s played the same role in The Summer I Turned Pretty. However, it was also a smart choice for Royel Otis, as it’s got fans of the popular show talking. The group is so far pretty small in North America, given their Australian origins.

However, this was the perfect way to bring their name into the mainstream. It also feels very natural since the plot of the song matches the plot of the show so well. Tung’s natural charm and charisma came across through her lines and in the parts of the video where she wasn’t speaking.

The dance scenes also parallel one of the most talked-about scenes in The Summer I Turned Pretty episode 7, when Belly was dancing at a club, having visions of Conrad. Unfortunately, for the bartender, Tung’s character leaves the bar with her boyfriend at the end. Though if he’s anything like Conrad, he might get his second chance soon.
